Thyroiditis is a common thyroid disorder worldwide. Its commonest variant Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT). The usual presenting symptom hypothyroidism at the time of diagnosis. Most patients are asymptomatic. A few cases may experience more obvious symptoms. standard treatment medical, and surgery rarely indicated. This review aims to shed light on most relevant articles discussing in compare them. author included 16 focused surgical management thyroiditis. Of studies, 10 were designed as retrospective reviews, four prospective two systematic reviews. studies aimed focus certain objectives. Three them discussed indications intervention Five covered postoperative complications. Six looked cancer association with Two explored impact surgery. improvement symptoms effect quality life. All listed this engaged HT except two. concentrates conceptualizing organizing parameters minds surgeons who manage enable decide whether operate or not. These factors surgery, local compressor post thyroidectomy like dysphasia shortness breath, risk cancer, intraoperative difficulty, Different variants treated medically, should consider mentioned affecting their decision special entity.
